If you don t it s sometimes hard to determine where you should make a switch. Instead of painting the trim the same as the walls you could consider a color that would compliment other finishes in your kitchen even something darker so that you notice the view out the window not the window trim but if you have a lot of trim and light walls it could look like you are outlining the room in the trim. I believe the trim in the kitchen should match the trim in the rest of the house since i believe the permanent features of the house trims interior doors etc should have continuity.
